We successfully celebrated International Women’s Day 2024 with a focus on Gender Inclusion and Participation. The event garnered significant support from numerous youth organizations and CSOs, demonstrating solidarity with women’s leadership. Attendees pledged to collaborate with us to enhance our efforts and capacity in addressing various challenges facing women in our society, such as Gender Justice, Social Activism, and Inclusion. Notable participants included Madam Alphia Faith Kemokai, recognized as the USAID Liberia Youth of the Year, senior social justice activist Norwu Kolu Harris, Mr. Titus Pakalah, Founder/Lead Artivist Match for Justice, Liberia, Mr. Ernest Duku Jallah, former head of the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY) Secretariat, Madam Miatta Garmai Darwolor, Executive Director of Sister Aid Liberia and a champion of women in Leadership, Mr. Timotheus Kamaboakai, former CEO of the Liberia YMCA, Mr. Henry J. Varfee, presidential press secretary of the Liberia National Students Union, and Vickjune Wutoh, a prominent gender activist. Additionally, numerous other professionals from diverse backgrounds in Liberia attended, contributing to a rich and impactful dialogue on women’s empowerment and leadership.
